GREAT doctor I stayed with her after having my twins 5 years ago and she saved my life from a ruptured ovarian cyst. She's the best and so sweet.
Dr Amaya is phenomenal! I switched to her in my 3rd trimester and only wished I'd done so sooner. The Centering program she leads is remarkable and her bedside manner can't be beat. She lead us graciously and peacefully through some small complications my body had after delivery, none were the fault of any of the staff at Self. I appreciated her comforting spirit during those times. Her sincere joy at our newest blessing was refreshing as well. Best OB in GWD!!
Dr. Amaya's staff are not professional. I've been argued with as to if I've had lab's. I should know if I have had lab's drawn. Staff are rude. No ease with scheduling appointments. Definitely a cold day in hell before Amaya will actually be in office when you need to see her.
Dr. Amayah always greets me with a smile. She is gregarious and outgoing. She patiently listens to my health concerns. I feel good knowing that my medical needs are adequately met. I feel very comfortable conversing with her, because I know that she will work diligently with me to assess a proper diagnosis. She is one of the few doctors that I have had who I feel comfortable with. I strongly recommend her if you are seeking a well qualified professional.
Dr. Amaya is NEVER available when I need to see her. She is always on vacation or out of office. Only other option you are given is to see a very inexperienced intern. I personally don't want to be anyone's lab rat.
